My name is Kuna Zero, as may be obvious at this point. I exist on the line between love and horror, occasionally wandering out to nostalgic or fantastic pastures. Most of my writing takes the form of novels, though here you'll more likely find poetry and short stories.
I am based in the National Capital Region of Canada and traces of my existence can sometimes be found in cemeteries and at poetry events.
Works of mine have been scattered about in years past, including poetry sections of campus newspapers, literary magazines, and, of course, this blog, which I started on Christmas Eve 2010.
In the intervening years, I've grown and honed my craft - as well as suffered from all the prescribed doubts and fears that come with writing. That process, that change, is immensely important to me, which is why I've resisted removing all those old posts from years past. So many are terrible for many different reasons, and serve as testaments to growth - as well as learning points.
I have been a member of the bywords.ca selection committee since late 2018, contributing when possible as an editor on our yearly chapbook published as part of the John Newlove award. Most recently, I worked on "After All This Hurt" by Mahaila Smith, a beautiful fungal horror chapbook that tells a story throughout its length.
All that to say, welcome to my little spot on the internet, and thank you for reading.
